Setting Up the Stable Audio Plugin in Ableton Live

Step 1: Download the Required Files

  1. Go to Stable Audio Plugin Page
  2. Download the Stable Audio Plugin installer for your operating system (macOS or Windows).
  3. Download at least one Model File from the available model options on the same page.

Step 2: Install the Plugin & Save the Model

  1. Run the installer to place the VST3/AU plugin in your system's default plugin directory.

Step 3: Rescan Plugins in Ableton Live

  1. Open Ableton Live.
  2. Go to Settings (or Preferences on macOS via Cmd + , / Ctrl + ,).
  3. Select the Plugins tab on the left menu.
  4. Click Rescan Plugins (or toggle Use VST3 Custom Folder off and on if using a custom location).
  5. Load the Stable Audio plugin onto an Audio or MIDI track, the plugin should automatically detect the installed models.
